Hosting a Legendary Cornhole BBQ!

Warm weather is quickly approaching, so it’s time to plan a backyard BBQ! But, not just any BBQ…  a cornhole BBQ! What else were you expecting? Cornhole and BBQs go together like chocolate chips and cookies. However, planning a barbecue is no easy feat, which is why we came up with these tips, tricks, and ideas to help you plan a legendary cornhole BBQ!

Don’t Stress Over the Food

Party food is one of the most time-consuming things you have to prepare. We recommend sparing yourself the stress and having a potluck this year.

Potlucks cut down a lot of the pre-party hassles and costs. Send a quick text or email promising all the expected guests an enticing main course and drinks. Then, ask people to bring side dishes and drinks to share. People love to bring dishes to help alleviate pressure off of the host.

There’s no shame in asking for help. Nobody expects you to be the sole hero of the party, especially if you’re expecting a larger crowd. Even if it’s just a bag of chips and a two-liter, you should appreciate anything they contribute. After all, that’s what friends are for, right?

Who’s Got Aux?

In this day and age, you can’t have a backyard BBQ without music. You are basically required to play certain songs at a summer BBQ, especially if you want your guests to let loose and enjoy themselves while playing cornhole. Put together an eclectic playlist full of your favorite songs, find a portable speaker, and push play.

If you can’t think of many songs, ask friends for recommendations or search through pre-made playlists on your favorite music streaming service. The music doesn’t have to be perfect; it’ll be fine as long as everybody has a good time. You could also theme your backyard BBQ music! Try 80s hits, one-hit wonders, or fun summertime songs.

Bring On the Games

Obviously, your cornhole BBQ will mainly feature cornhole, but variety is the spice of life. You should have other games at your party for people to play! There are other games outside of standard cornhole you can play, like bocce ball, croquet, and badminton, that are just as easy to set up and are fun to play for adults and kids alike.

Don’t Stress the Rest

You only need four things if you want to have a legendary cornhole BBQ this summer: good food, good music, good cornhole, and a good time. If you were on the fence about hosting this year’s BBQ, don’t let it stress you out. If all else fails, you can always resort to a more festive approach and include a theme to get guests excited about your party.

We’ve found that baseball and tiki themes are popular during the summer, but there are plenty of other themes as well. Don’t forget to keep an eye on the weather throughout the week, as well. Everyone will understand if you want to reschedule due to inclement weather. The rest of the party will take care of itself.

You Can Never Be Too Patriotic!

If you’re looking to combine your cornhole BBQ with your 4th of July festivities, you need to show off your patriotism to your friends and family. Luckily, you can do just that with our American and politically themed cornhole boards!

Let Old Glory Fly!

The 4th of July is Old Glory’s time to shine. Proudly display the Stars & Stripes at your BBQ with our American Flag Cornhole Boards.

  1. Two-Tone American Flag Boards for a vintage spin

  2. Grunge American Cornhole Boards for a more rustic look

  3. Wavy American Flag Cornhole Boards for something bold and beautiful

  4. Uncle Sam Cornhole Boards to pay homage to America’s most recognizable icon

Invoke Your Freedom of Speech!

If there’s anything Americans hold highly, it is our right to freedom of speech—and you can bet that applies to cornhole as well! Invoke your 1st Amendment rights with cornhole boards that unapologetically proclaim your political ideals.

The “Freedom Isn’t Free” or the “Don’t Tread on Me” sets come ready to play and get right to the point. In contrast, boards that clearly define your political affiliations (Democrat? Republican? We’ve got boards for you!) might conjure some riveting debates at your Independence Day gathering.

Bring Famous Landmarks to Your Backyard!

The Washington Monument, the Liberty Bell, the Gateway Arch… America has some truly magnificent landmarks and monuments that contribute to the landscape of our unique history. So, proudly display your favorite one on your cornhole board!

We can’t think of anything more American than Mount Rushmore. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Teddy Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln majestically grace this board’s facade in a fitting tribute to our nation’s greatest heroes, as well as one of its most celebrated monuments.

How about the Statue of Liberty? Another one of our country’s beloved icons, Lady Liberty stands tall and majestic on this board, welcoming people of all races and creeds to be free in their pursuit of life, liberty, and cornhole.

Honor Our Veterans!

Honor the vet in your life or pay tribute to your service with our military cornhole boards. Whether you’re Army, Navy, Marine, or even 101st Airborne Division, there’s a cornhole set with your name on it. There’s no better time than the 4th of July to symbolize our hard-fought freedoms.

Level Up Your Cornhole BBQ!

There’s no room for messing around if you’re hosting a cornhole bbq, which is why you need more than just the standard regulation-size boards and bags. You need the right cornhole accessories to show America you mean business.

Kick things up a notch with our ScoreTower Drinkholder Combo; you and your guests can keep an accurate score without compromising your beverage. Keep the cornhole games going long after the fireworks end with cornhole lights! These lights ensure that you don’t have to sacrifice cornhole for daylight.
